Held at various 4-H camps across Kentucky, this summer program gives youth a fun and immersive introduction to leadership, teamwork, and outdoor skills. Campers engage in hands-on activities such as archery, canoeing, nature hikes, and crafts, all while building friendships and learning from trained counselors and mentors. The experience encourages personal growth, responsibility, and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Successful completion of a camp activity entitles the camper to an achievement patch. Additionally, campers may earn Kentucky’s Hunter Education Certificate, also known as an 'orange card.' The Kloepfer Family Foundation, Inc. Scholars Program was founded by Richard Kloepfer, a retired businessman from Greenwood, Indiana. Mr. Kloepfer envisioned an initiative that would help students in Leslie County overcome barriers to obtaining a college education. “It is of the utmost importance that students begin thinking about their future careers at an early age. The Kloepfer Family Scholarship enables fifth graders to begin seriously considering a career path without having to be concerned about the costs of an undergraduate degree”.
